Sunrise @ Mono Lake

Because I spent the sunrise shooting at the Convict Lake, the same light passed when I arrived at Mono Lake 25 miles later.
As I made my way to the lake side, many photographers were walking back to their cars. I knew at that moment I would have to return, and did so two days later. Several other photographers also arrived early and we all searched for a spot for our big shot. Then the first ray of light hit. The edge of water began to reflect the orange colour and gradually grew. I waited patiently for that moment. It paid off because I loved the result. It's another one of those I am going to print big and hang on my wall. After another 30 minutes spent shooting there, I began making my way back to Los Angeles.
