Rubber Duck

Since the giant rubber duck made its debut in Amsterdam in 2007, it has "traveled" across the globe to Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan.
Florentijn Hofman created the giant rubber duck to spread joy around the world. When it was displayed in Hong Kong, it was an instant hit among the locals (proof: my Facebook news feed was flushed by countless photos). I never expected a chance to see it until I learned its coming to Los Angeles' Tall Ship Festival this summer. Like all of its prior appearances, the giant duck was also a sensational hit in L.A. (My Facebook was once again flushed by photos) As much as I wanted to see it, I gave up because I just could not bare the ridiculous crowd. However, the sponsors extended the duck's stay for two extra weeks due to its huge popularity. I knew it was a sign, and I had no excuse not to go. So I went, had my own duck shot, and most importantly, got the bragging right about it.
