The Metropolis

We made our way to the Empire State Building after the Circle Line cruise. Our original goal was to observe sunset from the observatory deck, but we encountered a long waiting line as everyone else had the same wish as we did.
Thanks to the CityPass, we cut some of the waiting time made it to the observatory deck (86th floor, not 102nd floor) just in time for the sunset. As expected, the place was so packed that there was literally no room to move, let alone to roam freely. Quite fortunately, some tourists were kind enough to step aside for others to have the opportunity to enjoy the jaw-dropping scenery. When I finally witnessed it, I was very very impressed (and everyone knows that I am a nature kind of guy). This sunset in a metropolis was simply unmatched and it instantly gave me plenty of imagination to work with. Hence, I present you here a black and white version of the Lower Manhattan at sunset.
